Dear Reader, As the year winds down, I just wanted to thank you for reading my books, and to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful, healthy and prosperous New Year. It's my annual tradition on this blog to share one of my favorite carols at Christmas, but this year, I'm going out on a limb to present ... the Foley Family & Friends singers!!! (Informally, that is, lol.) My dad arranged for us to go caroling at the local VA hospital, so we had a practice session before going to bring some cheer to the veterans. It was certainly our honor to go. They are truly inspiring, and we appreciated the VA letting us come. As it turned out, of course, Jaz's two wee ones dressed as elves were the hit of the day, lol. Jaz (who co-writes the contemporary romances with me) had asked her children's teachers if they could have their class of preschoolers and kindergartners make cards for the guys. Well, the teachers agreed and the children at school sure delivered. We had hundreds of handmade cards to pass out to the vets, written in crayon and adorned with stickers, drawings, and glitter, the works. As you can imagine, the little tykes definitely upstaged us singers, but we didn't mind a bit! We were just glad to be there, and had a great time. Anyway, if you're feeling brave enough to listen and you're not Simon Cowell *g* I thought it would be fun to share a quick little clip from our choir practice day. As you might've guessed, that's 3 of the 4 Foley sisters there, along with our Dad in the blue plaid shirt, and several dear family friends. Here we're working on our our rendition of O Come All Ye Faithful. :) Merry Christmas & I'll see you next year!
