War of 1812 Montage
Today at the Ballroom Blog, the subject of my post is "What If England Had Won the War of 1812?"
It's the 200 year anniversary of this important chapter in American history, coinciding with England's Regency Period, in which my novels are set.
So stop by and take a stroll down Alternative History lane with us as we consider how the world might have been different if the battle had gone the other way.

ALSO - Nearly forgot to share this! I was quoted in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review newspaper in a pop culture article by William Loeffler about that new Steve Carrell and Keira Knightley movie, "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World."

* * * UPDATED FOR FRIDAY - A new contest on the E.G. Foley blog with another chance to win a signed paperback copy of THE LOST HEIR. On today's post, we're sharing the Lost Heir Playlist - the songs that inspired us with links to music clips so you can hear them too. It's a great way to share the mood/feeling/atmosphere of the story from our perspective as the writers. Go to http://www.egfoley.com/blog.html.
While we're at it, check out the screenshot below of THE LOST HEIR as the #2 Bestseller for the Nook in Middle Grade on the Barnes and Noble website. It hung out between #2-3 for two weeks and is still in the Top 5 last I looked! Thank you Nook readers - this is way beyond Eric and my expectations for a debut novel!!!
