Hello World. This week, the Ballroom Blog will be holding our first At-Home Week with a sparkling array of special guests. Today (Monday) the week begins with a diamond of the first water, USA Today Bestselling Author, Alexandra Hawkins, author of the red-hot LORDS OF VICE series.

Alexandra also happens to be one of my romance-writing BFF's. We have known each other since our unpublished days! Come and meet my friend...and if you haven't already read her books, this is your chance to hear more about them!

I'm sad to report that my scheduled appearance at the Dallas Fort Worth Reader Tea in Plano, TX at Chocolate Angel is cancelled due to an icestorm in western PA that brought "extremely dangerous travel conditions" to the entire region. Everything was covered in ice, with snow on top of that. Storm started last night and went through late morning. Treacherous out there in the pre-dawn hours when I was trying to drive to the airport. Had to turn around and come home.

Very sorry I won't get to meet you, TX readers. Thanks to Fresh Fiction for inviting me. You guys are the best. Have the champagne toast without me! (sniff) For those going, the event itself is still on. The wonderful Laura Lee Gurkhe is still slated to attend, and you may _possibly_ get to see some surprise authors showing up there to greet readers in my place.

Hello, Readers!

On Thursday, Jan. 12, join me at
The Ballroom Blog and take the quiz: "Do You Have What It Takes To Join The Order?" Find out your Regency Spy potential.

Sat. Jan. 14 at the Ballroom Blog is our Saturday Salon, Historical Inspiration Day and my topic will be "The Count of Monte Cristo," the 2002 movie from Touchstone Pictures. Very inspiring! Can you believe it is 10 years old already??

Also, here is a nice article about the Women Read/Woman Write one-day Book Festival where I spoke. (With photos from the day.)

Below is a personal picture of me and my good friend, the amazingly talented NYT bestselling author, Madeline Hunter, from the day of the Women Read/Women Write event.

Meanwhile, I am furiously writing away to get my next book turned in to my editor without delay! So I will sign off now. See you at the Ballroom!

Gaelen :)

Here is a great little article to whet your appetite for extravaganza Women Read/ Women Write Book Festival on Saturday, with exact times and topics for the workshops etc ... Check it out & hope to see you there!
